I’m Nikai, a communications professional, former TV news producer, public relations manager, news watcher and social media addict.

I have a keen eye for engaging content and stories. My 14+ years of experience expands to public relations, project planning, digital audience strategy, writing, producing and building a network of journalists.

I have a holistic approach to communication projects to develop positive, engaging messaging that attracts media and consumer attention. My understanding of the media helps me pinpoint forward-thinking stories and media opportunities.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

I’ve worked as a television news producer, higher education media relations officer and healthcare public relations manager. My experience and education have given me the knowledge to design and execute large-scale initiatives that attract and grow public interest. My work includes search engine optimization, audience research, social media campaigns and public relations. I earned a master’s degree in digital audience strategy from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree in broadcast media from the University of North Texas. I'm on the board of directors for the Public Relations Society of America - Phoenix Chapter, as the communications chair. In this role, I manage digital communications efforts for the chapter’s website and social media channels.
